The way that we coordinate our body, how we use our back!when we reach with
our arms, how we move the pelvis when we walk, how we move the torso when we turn to look,these patterns are habitual. These habits of the brain can result in discomfort, dis-ease and awkwardness. To change habits, we use movement lessons rather than exercise, feedback rather than willpower,sensitivity!and response-ability rather than force, doing less rather than doing more.
Awareness Through Movement® classes include ingenious movement sequences based on the developmental movements of early childhood, the actions of daily life and the systematic application of good body mechanics.
There will be a 2 hour lunch break each day to allow for integration: The Yoga House is centrally located with easy access to restaurants and lakeside walks.
